Remove the rearview mirror Ford products.

Ford use three common variants mirrors clamps.

Oldest uses a screw head recessed hexagonal 1/16 to hold it in place. Just use a socket wrench to loosen the screw. The mirror is lifted directly from the media.

The next most common is also the most difficult to remove without breaking the windshield. Look at the bottom of the bracket and the bottom you will see two pieces of spring retainer. Take a very thin and drive each blow. An alternative is to spring lever down while pulling the bracket. It is likely that the windshield is broken The second alternative if you’re not careful.

The most common has no visible screws and not spring. To remove the mirror can be adjusted downwards and reach the top grip the stem. Apply a downward pressure and the mirror goes. Or you can enter a thin screwdriver into the slot on top and lift. The second option involves the risk of breaking the windshield.

Remove the rearview mirror Chevrolet and Chrysler products. This is really easy. Most have a Torx screw, size T20, which snugs the mirror for the button and then the glass. Loosen the screw and lift. To install, simply tighten the screw until snug. Excessive torque can break the glass.

Remove the rearview mirror of car of foreign products. Most cars have a view of foreign rear pin. Hold the mirror stem and gently try to turn a quarter turn to the left. If this fails, then look at the bottom of the stand and tap with a soft face hammer up.
