Automotive tools to remove Windshield

The removal of a windshield is a specialized task that requires specialized tools. Two hand and power tools driven to remove the windshield and either keep or delete weather stripping around intact extraction time damaged to be replaced along with the windshield.

Wire sculpture

A cutting wire is literally a braided metal wire with two plastic handles that connect to either end of the wire. The wire is worked under the weather stripping around the edge of the windscreen. After the wire is securely in place, it is then used to lift the windscreen out of place in the vehicle.

Beginning tool

Starting a tool consists of a plastic handle and a sheet of long metal. The blade of the tool gradually decreases until a sharp end which is less than a quarter inch thick. Starting the tool used to penetrate beneath the windshield weather strip, giving a starting point for the insertion of a wire cut.

Suction

High strength suction cups are used to lift and transport the windshield and being removed from the vehicle. These cups are specially designed not to lose suction under the weight of a windshield.

Energy removers

Windshield power removers are a quicker way to remove car windscreens. At first glance, windshield remover energy is very similar to an electric drill. The end of the tool has a flat sheet that is inserted under the weather stripping and lifts the edge of the windshield out of place. Other accessory power removers are designed to cut through weather stripping that needs to be eliminated.
