How to take a car window

A car window was cracked or damaged must be removed for replacement. The window glass is held in place inside the door for a regulatory framework or elevator channel that remains constant, while rolling up and down. If this controller should be replaced, you may need to remove the glass to remove and replace the regulator. To reach the top, it is removed from the interior trim car door and glass disconnect its regulatory framework.

Explanation

Disconnect the negative battery cable, especially if the car has electric windows. Open the car door and roll down the window.

Remove the inside of the door trim panel. Remove the manual window identifier (if any), working a cloth behind him to pull the clip. Remove all the screws on the panel and unhook the snap fasteners around the perimeter.

Remove the trim panel by tilting it out so that removes the locating pins on the back. Pull the panel sharply to separate it from the channel that holds the weather-stripping on top. Move the door panel, disconnect the latch connecting it to the door handle and disconnect the electrical connectors.

Remove any speakers at the door and panel mounting bracket adjustment. Peel the shield of water away from the door, making sure not to tear it. Hold or support vessel to hold it in place inside the door and remove the screws holding the glass elevator.

Push the glass until it is clear the controller or channel. It should be partially pushed out the door. If the door does not have the upper window frame, you can pick up top with both hands and pull it the rest of the way out the door. Otherwise, grip the bottom and slide down the door.
